A lot of people were like, ‘Why wouldn’t you just write the scent on the candle?’ And ‘How will I know what scent it is, if there is artwork on the front?’ I took a chance.
OKI CANDLES

In the curious pursuit to understand why all candle design centered around scent notes, I created a candle line that featured photographs to double as an art object in the home. I collaborated with three artists to use their original black and white photographs on the candles. The paper was specifically chosen to not be fully opaque so that the candle glow could illuminate the photographs.
